If you want to wear lip rings but you do not just due to the pain involved in it, wearing fake lip rings could be the right solution.

Facial piercing is one of the hottest trends and many interesting pictures of wonderful jewellery can be found. Even though you are eager to do a facial piercing maybe the piercing procedure appals you. If that is the case, why not opt for the fake lip rings? There is a huge variety of these and they are a great substitute for real ones.

Make your own lip ring

Here are the steps for creating fake lip rings:

Step 1: Buy a craft silver wire. It should be as thick as a lip ring.

Step 2: Cut it into a size of a centimetre and a half or as long as you want the ring to be.  Sand it using a heavy metal sand paper to reduce the sharpness of the ends and make it clean.

Step 3: Get very small fancy magnets and glue them at the ends. Use the best glue available to make sure that these do not come off.

Step 4: Bend the wire into a round shape and make sure that the magnets touch each other.

Step 5: Gently widen the ring to take the magnets apart and place one end outside your lip and the other inside your mouth.

Besides using different types of wires to create lip rings, you can also make them from hoop earrings. You need to remove the clip that is used for closing the earring. Then reduce the distance between the two open ends by slowly pressing it.

Buying a fake lip ring: choices available

There is more innovation applied towards the designing of body jewellery in general and if you want to shop for fake lip rings you should be aware of the variety available. Pick the thickness that suits you. The studs at the ends which touch your skin also come in different sizes and there are some that are barely visible. The rings with almost invisible studs look real. You can choose simple rings which just have the ring wire. Other options are fashionable rings that are wide and have designs engraved. Those who love the bold look can opt for such thick, designer rings. When it comes to materials, silver is one of the most popular choices, but the rings can be also made of gold, titanium, nickel. In order to enhance your outfits you can wear a plain ring with beads. These beads come in a number of colours and are removable. If you don’t like to change beads, a metallic one will go with any outfit.
