Have you ever had time to stop and explore your imaginative power? With the way of life we lead, there is often little space for creativity in it. Problems in our personal lives and at work usually reduce our capability of creative thinking.
In many companies you can attend trainings where it is possible to learn how to deal with problems at work. Sitting at a conference does not mean that you will find creative solutions. Routine thinking kills a person’s imaginative power.
There are exercises which can help you increase your creativity.
This exercise helps people develop their perception of things from various angles. Make two teams. Give both teams a picture that has three shapes drawn on it. The shapes can be simple such as a square, a triangle and a circle. People can describe these shapes in different ways. Some will simply say that it is a circle, and someone may see it as fruit or a basketball. The goal is to develop various angles towards problem solving.
We should also exercise our brains. That is possible with this exercise - put together any five items. For example, it can be a bag, a bottle, a glass, a cloth, and a jewellery item. Ask people to write down various uses for the objects but in a creative fashion. For example, the bottle can be used as a vase, the cloth as a coaster, etc. Encourage people to think of wacky solutions. The wackier, the better!
We can dictate things in our everyday life by adding creativity to them. You can say any word to the group. For example - dog. Ask the people to give a word to additionally describe the given term with another expression. It can be spotted dog, dog ears, small dog, happy dog. This shows that there are different points of view related to each situation.
